Purpose of role:
recruiting for a Production Planner, based at Swadlincote who will be responsible for co-ordinating production requirements.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide a full administrative function for the Production workflow
- Check and control the daily output and messages from MRP (Material Requirements Planning)
- Convert planned requirements into production orders
- Generate and print shop floor paperwork to control workflow
- Run availability check for purchased components
- Rework and refurbishment administration
- Control standard and bespoke/prototype production administration
- Site rectification administration
- Manage exceptional and unscheduled production requirements
- Manage change or cancellation of production orders
- Maintain daily KPIs
Person Specification:
- Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent in a Production/Manufacturing field or similar
- Experience of Production Planning is desirable
- Understanding of works planning with a manufacturing/construction environment
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to demonstrate assertiveness whilst remaining approachable and friendly and a confident and methodical approach to work
- Fully computer literate with the ability to pick up production planning flow software
