Purpose of role:
We are currently recruiting for a Fabrication Supervisor, based at Swadlincote who will be responsible for supervising and organising the daily running of a fabrication department.
Candidates are required to have a full knowledge of the welding/fabrication process from start to finish and must be competent in all areas.
Shift Pattern:
2.00pm – 10.00pm
Key responsibilities & duties:
- Supervision of fabrication department.
- Welding and fabrication of numerous metal components and assemblies of structural steelwork
- Fabricate to instructions and drawings
- Cutting using plasma
- Operation of machinery eg. saw, brake press, guillotine etc.
- Welding on steel and sometimes heavy gauges
Performance measures:
- Quality

- Productivity and on-time delivery
Person Specification:
- Must have experience of team leading/supervising
- Experience of welding/fabrication
- Knowledge of metals, grades and thicknesses
- Honest and reliable
- Work on your own initiative and as part of a team
- Be direct and have a supportive positive nature
- Be able to work in a pressurised environment, to demanding deadlines
- Fork lift truck licence is desirable but not essential
