Job Opportunity:
We are currently recruiting for a Credit Control Manager, based in Cwmbran. This position will be responsible for overseeing the credit management of the organisation and the management of the credit control team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Managing the credit management function and overseeing the credit control function
- Leading and motivating the credit control team in order to achieve collection targets
- Oversee the effective collection of the company debt
- Monthly reporting of the Key Performance Indicators for the department
- Review credit limits on a regular basis and communicate directly to the Group Sales Director in regards to challenging credits
- Ensure IT systems for credit control are robust and stringent controls are put in place
- Managing relationships with the customer in order to reduce exposure to potential bad debt
- Implementation and maintenance of a set of comprehensive Credit Risk Policies and Procedures
- Introduce and evolve effective reporting and assessment tools to minimise risk and proactively identify problem areas and customers
- Reporting to the FD and General Manager on a monthly basis on outstanding accounts
Job Skills & Qualifications:
- ICM qualified with previous experience in a credit control
- Good understanding of balance sheet analysis, credit risk, financial exposure and setting credit limits
- Excellent people management/leadership skills
